How many times have you "had a feeling" that you then turned over to your mind to incessantly analyze, reconfigure, and create a totally new course of action that you supposedly "feel" is the better way to go? What happens is our ego/mind is truly afraid to follow those intuitive feelings as it usually takes us out of living in our comfort zones or distracted states of being. BUT what always ends up happening, that original "gut feeling" comes back and slaps you in the face 10-fold! And you have that, "should have followed my gut" talk with yourself. Understand that your intuition is guiding you to make the right choices not the wrong ones! You have control over your life but it is up to you how long and how painful of a journey you take to get to where you are meant to be. When we use the phrase, "life is a lesson" it truly is! A lesson of trusting and follow our intuition and living a life not based on fear/mind/ego.
I find that writing down all the times you didn't follow your intuition and what happened as a result, helps you identify these patterns that hinder your progression to ultimate love and happiness! So the next time you have a "feeling" you listen and act based on it. The last thing you need is another tough lesson that can easily be avoided.
As best said by Eckhart Tolle, "Love, joy, and peace cannot flourish until you have freed yourself from mind dominance"
