In this post I want to talk about #1: Trying to please, and be acceptable, to others. How many of us try to please at the expense of ourselves? To some this can start as simple acts of kindness which then turn into sacrifice of self. Where is the line drawn? At the point when we learn to say NO and set boundaries while being the caring person in our relationships to others. Caring for another in no way means NOT caring for yourself. That's not selfish, that's love...of self so that you can truly and without attachment, love another. It all begins with self-love, fitting that this is #1.
